Wordwatch / Слово урока
The theme of this episode is the lottery, so students should be aware of the workings of a lottery, with winning numbers and
large cash prizes.
The words in this episode are all very clearly activated and contextualised, and reasonably aware intermediate students will
have no problem understanding everything that happens. The expression crazy about (we can also say mad about)
indicates that you like something very much (I'm crazy about her / spaghetti / skiing). The words crazy
and mad without about suggest mental problems, but of course, like most words, YNS use them to simply mean
unconventional. Saying that someone is mad or crazy is not necessarily a criticism.
